Reviewing a Search Engine Marketer
It’s another time for a review again! So I’ve managed to stumble onto a blog about Search Engine Marketing and I must say I quite like the content although it is plagued with a plethora of adverts that really turn me off. I really dislike the amount of buttons on the site as well, it really detracts from the overall feel of the site and makes it look amateurish. At the current time of writing this article, I see that the site has 33 feed readers; this is something I wouldn’t be proud to display since it’s kinda low. Also on the sidebar there is a PageRank displayer and it says 0 for me. Even though I checked elsewhere and it’s a 5, so I’m not quite sure of the deal.
His About Me page is also very light on the information and the visitor cannot tell who the author is at all. All it says is that he’s a Marketing Director. Well… He isn’t that good at marketing himself is he?
However, when he writes, the articles are detailed enough for the reader to understand what needs to be said. It is perfect I think. I would suggest that he gets rid of the ads that are underperforming, get a better About page, remove the Random Post link as it is not suitable for this type of blog (I should include it here, as most posts here are timeless) and Darin needs to come up with his own quality posts more often as I’m not really into bloggers that quote or repost from somewhere else. I love the idea of his free Nintendo Wii giveaway to promote his blog though, genius!
