Leo Beer Calendar Controversy
Just before New Years there was this huge controversy on the Thai media about an annual calendar that a Thai beer company Leo (whose parent company Singha) put out. The calendar was created by no other than Thai supermodel, Metinee Kingpayom. I love how the argument against the calendar says that “linking alcohol and sexy women is wrong”. Wow.
Anyway, who cares about the legal issues behind it. The women are wearing next to nothing and yes, that is body paint that you’re seeing on Anna, Pam and Aum. And if you guys remember, from back in the day, the calendar also features Jenjira “Mix” Kerdprasop, the sassy Thai/Swedish archery expert.

Doesn’t matter, you still have to say that these Thai girls are absolutely beautiful.
I really don’t see why they had a problem with this. It’s a perfectly clean depiction of beautiful women and beer is after all, an adult beverage anyway.
